Successfully rehomed by Gonsal Farm Animal Centre

Spike is a handsome ex-case dog who came into us from boarding kennels with his companions, Jacob and Billy, after all three were previously being used for badger baiting. Spike is a gorgeous lad who has always been very friendly and affectionate right from day 1. Sadly he knows no basic commands therefore will need an owner to start from scratch with some positively reinforced basic training. Spike can walk nicely on lead, once he's settled but can be strong and excitable if a rabbit or cat was to cross his path. Off lead Spike loves a mad blast, like any typical lurcher breed, then will happily come back to you for cuddle times. Due to Spikes previous history, new owners should be aware of the fact they may never be able to allow Spike off lead in an unsecure area, even if there was a strong bond and recall. Again due to his past Spike cannot be rehomed with cats but is fine to be rehomed with an existing dog pending meets done here at the centre. Spike is fine to go with children from ages 7 plus. Spike is a lovely chap and will make a fantastic addition to the right family.
