Smokey

Description

Smokey

Smokey’s owner was made homeless and came to us for help, he had put him up for sale and free ‘to a good home’ and of course attracted some unsavoury people which made him realise private rehoming has it’s risks and he only wanted the best for his dog.

We have had Smokey neutered, micro chipped and vaccinated included Kennel Cough. He is a fit healthy dog.

Smokey is a lovely character, he loves to be with you which is so typical of the breed. He is partially deaf so must not be let off the lead in public. We can provide an information sheet on how to live with a dog that is hard of hearing, it's not really that different to normal so please don't let it put you off!  He knows several basic hand signals but he has the capacity to learn so much more, and let's not forget he is not completely deaf! As can be seen by the video he is making the most of his freedom off the lead but in a secure paddock: http://youtu.be/JbjtVlHb39Y

He is ok with other dogs but ideally needs to be the only pet as he wants all the attention to himself. He loves toys and to chew them, he is good on the lead too but can be strong. He would love a secure garden to run his little legs off! He is house trained and travels fine, typical Staffy in that he loves his home comforts including the sofa!

Just look at those ears! He’s a beautiful blue/grey colour with a touch of blond brindle, what a handsome boy he is!  He does need an experienced dog owner, ideally in the breed or similiar.
