Obii
Description
Hello, my name is Obii,
I’m a three year old male Bichon Frise. I arrived at The Mayhew because my owner became homeless.
I’m a very friendly and active boy. I get a along well with everyone I meet and I also get along OK with other dogs, although I can be nervous of larger dogs. I’m toilet trained and I know the usual commands which I respond well to. I don’t like being left home alone and I have been known to bark when I’m left on my own. I’m a very playful chap, I enjoy playing with tennis balls and I always enjoy a good game of catch. I’m also very affectionate and I like to cuddle up next to people and sit on their laps.
I’m now looking for a forever home with a person or family who have owned dogs before and have researched my breed type. I will need a home where there is someone around for most of the day. I can live with sensible children from eleven years of age and upwards. I’d also happily share my new home with a female dog providing we’re the right match. I wouldn’t be suitable to live with cats. My new owners will be expected to take me to training classes and provide me with a minimum of one hour of off-lead exercise every day. If you’re interested in offering me a home you will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog, you will be taking on a twelve year commitment, which must not be taken lightly.
I hope to see you soon,
Obii x

Listed below are the most common reasons people give up their dogs. Please read through each reason and give your views on each statement.
I would not consider moving home unless I was assured my dog could move in with me.
