Jacob

Jacob

Description

Successfully rehomed by Gonsal Farm Animal Centre

Jacob is an ex-case dog that came in with his companions Spike and Billy after all three had been previously used for badger baiting. Being the youngest of the three, Jacob is still quite puppy like, sometimes, in his behaviour and can get a bit mouthy at times when excited. For the most part though, he's a very well-behaved and extremely loving young lad who adores receiving a fuss from everyone he meets. Jacob has had no basic training and new owners will need to start from scratch with him. On lead Jacob can be a little giddy and bouncy initially but once he calms down he will walk nicely. Off lead Jacob loves to burn some energy and will chase balls. He can at times get abit too over excited and can jump up and mouth at you. With correct training this can easily be discouraged, so that he can learn what is and isn't acceptable behaviour. Despite his excellent recall, new owners should bear in mind his previous history and be prepared not to be able to allow him off lead in any unsecure areas. Jacob can be rehomed with dogs as long as he has the correct introduction here at the centre and the existing dog can tolerate Jacobs¿s lively and playful nature. Jacob is a darling and will make a wonderful family pet for the right home.
