Description
Hello, my name is Del,
I’m a five year old male Boxer. I arrived at The Mayhew because my owners had a new baby and felt they no longer had the time to look after me.
I’m a very friendly boy and affectionate boy who loves to gives kisses and cuddles. I get along well with everyone I meet and I’m also friendly with other dogs. I’m toilet trained, well behaved and I can be left on my own for four or five hours without any problems. I know all the usual commands which I respond well to and I have a good recall off my lead in the park. I love my food a little too much and given the chance I’ll steal food within reach. I’m not really into playing with toys unless someone joins in the game with me.
I’m now looking for a forever home with someone who has owned dogs before and has researched my breed type. I’d happily live with someone who works full-time providing I’m not left on my own for more than four hours without a break, either by coming home to me at lunch time or hiring a dog walker. I can live with sensible children from ten years of age and upwards providing they are used to being around dogs and I can live with another dog providing we’re the right match. I can also live with dog-confident cats. My new owners will be expected to provide me with a minimum of one hour of off lead exercise every day. If you’re interested in offering me a home you will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog, you’ll be taking on a ten year commitment which must not be taken lightly.
I hope to see you soon,
Del x
Weight: 37kgs
Del is currently living in foster care until his new forever home is found. If you are interested in adopting him you will need to visit The Mayhew first before going to see him in his foster home.
