Description

Successfully rehomed by The Mayhew Animal Home

Hello, my name is Candy,

I’m a four year old female Labrador. I arrived at The Mayhew when the puppy farm I was living in closed down.

I’m a very friendly and affectionate girl and I get along well with everyone I meet, always greeting people with a waggy tail. I’m also good with other dogs. I’m active and I love going to the park, where I love a good game of chasing after a tennis ball (a ‘Chuck-it’ will be a must accessory for my new owners). I know the basic commands which I respond well to and I enjoy my training. It’s not yet known how long I cope being left on my own for so I will need a home where there is somebody around for most of the day.

I’m now looking for a forever home with someone who has owned dogs before and has researched my breed type. I can live with sensible teenagers and I’d also happily share my new home with a male dog providing we’re the right match. I wouldn’t be suitable to live with cats. My new owners will be expected to take me to training classes and provide me with a minimum of one hour of off-lead exercise every day. If you’re interested in offering me a home you will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog, you’ll be taking on an eleven year commitment, which must not be taken lightly.

I hope to see you soon,

Candy x

Weight: 20kgs

Candy is currently living in foster care until her new forever home is found. If you are interested in adopting her you will need to visit The Mayhew first before going to see her in her foster home.
