Bob
Description
Hi Lisa
I promise not to indundate you but had to send you this one! Less than 48hrs and a definite cuddle (did not expect that so soon!)
Cannot believe how Rufus and Bob are getting on – if either goes out of the room, the other will follow and there is a good mix of boisterous play and gentle play!
Apart from starting to poo in the living room 15mins after arriving at the house, we have had NO accidents at all- Bob goes on the grass and this morning he actually scratched at the kitchen door to go out!
He sleeps on our bed next to Rufus (and when Rufus went under the covers, Bob did too) – the only time he hasn’t been ‘joined at the hip’ to Rufus was last night when the cat came into the bedroom and Rufus got off the bed and came downstairs – Bob looked up and went back to sleep!
Laurie and I have spent a lot of today just watching them play (of course they only want whatever the other one has got!!) and it has been wonderful.
Yesterday and today they both had good runs in the fields, although Rufus still doesn’t like the pavement walk TO the field (we thought walking with Bob would help with that issue – Rufus is fine with more than one human but is not good when just one)
Finally, an “Awww” moment … Bob was sitting on my lap at the pc and Rufus brought a small ball (that they had been playing with) and dropped it on the floor in front of Bob and looked up pleadingly. No reaction, so he picked it up and dropped it again. (Maybe you had to be there, haha!)
We definitely made two right decisions and thanks again for our ‘boys’, although I am now banning Lianne from looking at the dogs that need re-homing, haha (unless it is another perfect partner, of course!!)
All the best
Vivienne
