Martock is a quiant town with not a lot going on, in fact the White Hart is probably the most lively place there but it is lovely if you want a quiet getaway. It is also about 3 miles away from the golf club and the Deveonshire Arms which, for me, was where a wedding was being held. This made the White Hart perfect for my trip.
We had a meal in the White Hart which was lovely and the rest of the food we ate was at the Devonshire Arms and the golf club, I would reccomend Martock to anyone

Great hidden treasure
Great hidden treasure
Hosts were very welcoming and helpful
Food great and room very comfortable
The village of Martock was picturesque, locals friendly, church amazing, and we were the only tourists around enjoying a non tourist village
The hotel is elegant and comfortable, the staff offer a 5 star personal service, the fact it’s not super modern is a major plus as it gives it that elegant charm and matches the building. We checked into The Keep initially which was absolutely awful and checked out again, thankfully The Hollies had one room left. The second we walked in we were welcomed with a smile and amazing customer service, the room was beautiful and qe just instantly relaxed.
Great little hotel in a convenient location for the drive from Cornwall back to London. We had the full suite as we were travelling with two children (including our 3 month old baby) and it was perfect for our needs. Very clean, quiet and the kitchenette was very useful. Lovely view from the terrace onto a wildflower meadow. The owners were very friendly and professional.
Room had everything we needed, fan over bed, mini bar at sensible prices, de-humidify, 'bulb' like area in bath so I could stand upright (best I've ever had), VERY attentive staff and 'management' who picked out cigarette ends in stone vases (very impressive!), large bath towels. Excellent menu for dinner bearing in mind our troubled times. Can't praise this hotel enough.
Unbelievable value for money, I will be back here whenever I stay in Somerset. Everything taken care of that you might need, plenty you wouldn't even find in £200+ hotel rooms. On my low budget I felt spoiled and looked after. Can't wait to return.
Great hotel, have stayed here many times whilst visiting family in the area and always have a lovely welcome. Had a fab meal in the restaurant in the evening and the continental breakfast was excellent
Such a warm welcome each time you visit this charming hotel. Family owned and the team here are so friendly and very efficient.
Great location for exploring the area too.
we decided to book a cottage this time after staying at the hotel many times upon arrival we were upgraded to a 4 bed cottage which was a lovely surprise
